Castor Oil
Why we love it:
What better product to use in our sealant than the original, most-talked about oil for hair? Its antimicrobial properties ward off fungal overgrowth and inflammation.
Split ends? Castor oil strengthens the actual cuticles to prevent future splitting and shedding.
Although hair growth from castor oil is purely anecdotal, there are plenty who swear by it. With omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, nobody can dispute the shine it gives the hair and the way it supports keratin to prevent frizz. With benefits like these its no wonder why it has been used for centuries.
The first use of castor oil dates back to 4000 BC in Egypt, carried throughout Rome and even made its way to East Indian and Caribbean cultures.
This oil has also long been used as a sealant oil. Enjoy it in our Simple Sealant and watch your hair stay moisturized longer than just using a leave in conditioner alone.
