Our Essential Ingredients

  • dl-Panthenol

    dl-Panthenol

Why We Love It: starring in our Wash Out Conditioning Balm is an ingredient also known as: Pro Vitamin B5. With strengthening properties well-known among the haircare industry, it is also known to add luster and work against redness and inflammation. Chances are, you’ve already tried other products with Pantothenic Acid – but now, you’ve got it wrapped up in a formula that supports your head from scalp to strands. It’s also classified as a humectant – which means it literally draws in water molecules to store them. This, in turn, prevents tangles which prevents…you guessed it: breakage.

  • Cetrimonium Chloride 30%

    Cetrimonium Chloride 30%

Why We Love It: You don’t have to be able to pronounce this ingredient to reap the benefits.  Pulling static and frizz out while supporting and stabilizing the product it lives in is its main game! It plays nicely with our other ingredients, and better yet – it is perfect for all hair types. It is also incredibly effective at detangling, so make sure to get the wide tooth comb out when dealing with this ingredient. This ingredient is designed to be washed out after use, hence our placement in our product. It inhibits microorganism growth and allows oils and water to emulsify . Check out this amazing conditioning agent in our Wash Out Conditioning Balm.

Who would have thought an aqueous ammonium salt could be so hydrating?

  • Vegetable Glycerin

    Vegetable Glycerin

Why we love it: Similar to the ever-popular hyaluronic acid, vegetable glycerin was discovered in the 18th century and has long been made from things like plants or petroleum. These days, we tend to create it from things like coconut and olive oil. Vegetable glycerin is a humectant so it pulls moisture from the air keeping hair hydrated and healthy longer.

We also know that vegetable glycerin can renew the hair and help your products sink in faster, making it perfect for low porosity hair . This ingredient can also be used as another exfoliant when combined with some others and again fights dandruff and dermatitis.

To reap the benefits of vegetable glycerin, and get healthy hydrated hair check  out our Coconut Almond Leave-In Conditioner and our Wash-Out Conditioning Balm.

  • DM350 (Dimethicone)

    DM350 (Dimethicone)

Why we love it: We would never include an ingredient that is anything other than helpful to your luscious locks, and that’s why we want to bust any myths you may have heard about dimethicone. So, what does 350 mean? It just indicates the viscocity of our product. We use this in our simple sealant –because the last thing you put on your hair shouldn’t feel tacky to the touch. Dimethicone gives our products a luscious, slippery feel that smoothes and locks in moisture – and you can expect just that from our Simple Sealant. Silicones in beauty or haircare products have a good deal of misinformation floating around the ether recently, and we want to assure you that dimethicone has been thoroughly studied and confirmed safe and effective from scientists and experts around the world.
